Requirements:

Summary of Functions:

Primary responsibilities are to safely run plant equipment and achieve the goals of production while maintaining consistent quality.

Major Duties and Responsibilities:

• Running large machinery and maintenance.
• Packaging of cheese in 40lb bags.
• Troubleshooting of machinery.
• Cleaning of floors, walls, tools, etc.
• Chemical safety, workplace safety, and GMP training and practices
• CIP and sanitation of equipment.
• Routine inspections of all working parts.
• Move pallets using pallet jack or forklift as required.
• Receiving and shipping of product in tankers.

Food Safety Requirements/Responsibilities:

• Comply with all Plant, State and Federal OSHA, EPA, FDA, HACCP, and SQF regulations
• Comply with GMP’s in the plant.
• Assist in the maintenance of Food Safety and Quality system.

Organizational Relationships:

Position reports to the Production Supervisor in the Cheese Production Department.

Qualifications:

• High school diploma or GED.
• Minimum 1 year work experience.
• Strong interpersonal and communication skills.
• Must be a team player and the ability to work independently.
• Attention to detail.

• Effectively handle lifting of various objects weighing up to 50 pounds.
