Photo Equipment Engineer

Function / Duties : Provide equipment engineering support. Work to improve equipment availability, scrap, and cost of ownership. Interface with manufacturing, process engineering, vendors, and others in the equipment engineering group to resolve equipment and production problems.

Responsibilities :

• Have the ability to repair and maintain process equipment
• Interface with manufacturing, engineering groups, and vendors regarding process and production problems
• Identify and correct root causes of scrap and chronic downtime
• Train new employees as needed
• Assist technicians, as needed
• Become an expert on equipment repair and troubleshooting
• Set PM schedules and procedures
• Set stock levels for spare parts
• Current Skills / Competencies :
• Knowledge of TEL and SVG tracks a plus
• Knowledge of Canon steppers, especially Canon i4, a plus
• Knowledge of high voltage systems and troubleshooting
• Knowledge of high vacuum systems and troubleshooting a plus
• Ability to safely handle process chemicals
• Good verbal and written communication skills
• Must be a proven team player and self-starter
• Good problem solving and decision making skills
• Strong Microsoft computer skills
• Some heavy lifting required

Minimum Requirements :

B.S. degree in EE, ME, EET or equivalent experience in a related technical field.
