[job_card.job_description]Work in a 32-bed Emergency Room within an acute care hospital Level 2 trauma center with all typical ER cases including chest pain, respiratory failure, abdominal pain, and some pediatric patients ER features a triage area and a separate Fast Track open daily from 11 am to 11 pm Nurse-to-patient ratios are 1 : 4 in the main ER, 1 : 5 in the low acuity area, and 1 : 4-6 in Fast Track Three ER techs per shift and respiratory therapy available 24 / 7 12-hour day shifts with every other weekend and some holiday rotation required Uses Epic EMR for documentation No floating outside of the ER is required Main responsibilities include triage, fast track care, and supporting typical emergency presentations for all age groups Charge nurse on every shift without patient assignments and strong team support 1-2 shifts orientation with preceptor provided Royal blue scrubs required; no false nails allowed Holiday coverage as scheduled with permanent staff rotation All tests and policies must be passed per hospital standards, including EKG competency First-time travelers welcome; the ER is described as traveler-friendly and highly efficient Returning travelers to the health system must have a 2-year break before re-applying Travelers may not work within the health system for more than one year consecutively Active WV or compact RN license required Minimum of 2 years recent ER experience Current ACLS and BLS certifications required Ability to read and interpret telemetry strips Experience in Level 2 trauma or similar ER environment preferred PALS, NIHSS, and TNCC preferred (opportunity to obtain TNCC onsite at own expense) Must provide a copy of an unexpired driver’s license for consideration Must live at least 50 miles from the facility to be eligible as a traveler High Pay and Bonuses Medical, Dental and Vision Insurance with Day 1 Options 401(k) Plan Weekly Payroll Deposit Free Online CEUs Generous Housing Allowance Travel and Licensure Reimbursements Non-taxed Per Diem and Subsidy Traveler Rewards and Discounts
