Position Summary :
The position of Development Coordinator role fulfills critical operations functions for the department. Reporting to the Chief Development Officer, this role is integral in supporting the goal of increasing contributed revenue through data management, donor relations, and support with events and volunteer management.
Essential Job Duties and Responsibilities :
Database Management (50%)
- Manage and update donor and volunteer records, gift information, pledges, and fundraising event details.
- Ensure data accuracy through regular system checks, audits, and data cleansing efforts.
- Implement and maintain security protocols to protect sensitive data.
- Generate reports and insights from CRM data to support fundraising efforts, track key performance indicators (KPIs), and inform strategic decisions.
- Work with other departments to ensure data consistency and support cross-functional initiatives.
- Ensure compliance with data privacy regulations and organizational policies.
- Provide training and support to staff on data entry procedures, CRM usage, and best practices. Address user issues and provide technical support for the CRM system as needed.
- Follow CRM vendor communications and proactively attend webinars to stay informed about product updates. Recommend changes and enhancements as needed.
Development Operations (50%)
Support fundraising efforts and manage donor relations to help cultivate relationships with current and prospective donors.Maintain accurate records of donors, process donations, and send donor gift acknowledgements in a timely manner.Help create and execute donor communications strategies, including mailings, email campaigns, and newsletters.Serve as a resource to the fundraising team, answering questions related to constituent management and providing guidance and training in the appropriate use of the CRM software.As needed, support the department with special projects and events.Education, Certifications & Experience Requirements
Education : Bachelor's degree in a related field (e.g., nonprofit management, communications, business, marketing, or similar) required.Experience : 1 - 2 years demonstrated success in roles requiring database management, donor relations, or event coordination in a nonprofit or similar setting preferred.Certifications : Valid driver's license.Supervisory Responsibilities
