Neonatal Nurse Practitioner Locum Job in Orlando, Florida

Seeking Neonatal Nurse Practitioners to help cover Level 4 NICU in Orlando, Florida. This is a great opportunity for dedicated NPs to gain experience in a high-acuity environment while supporting our incredible team of physicians and APPs.

Multiple Position Overview :

Day Shift (7 : 00 AM - 5 : 00 PM, 10-hour shifts)

6-7 Nurse Practitioners working alongside 3 physicians.

Each NP will cover approximately 10-12 admitted patients per shift.

Night Shift (4 : 00 PM - 8 : 00 AM, 16-hour shifts)

Two Nurse Practitioners working with one physician.

Coverage for admissions, emergent consults, and all emergencies for admitted babies.

About NICU :

Bed Capacity : 100 beds (average census 95-100).

Patient Demographics : Level 4 NICU caring for infants as young as 22 weeks with severe respiratory complications, surgical cases, and more.

Common Procedures :

Endotracheal Intubation

Thoracentesis & Chest Tube Placement

Lumbar Puncture

Umbilical Artery / Venous Catheterization

Nasogastric (NG) & Orogastric Tube Placement

Requirements :

Florida License (Active and in good standing).

Proven experience with positive feedback in previous roles.

Ability to perform the following independently :

Thoracentesis & Chest Tube Placement (including removal).

Endotracheal Intubation.

Umbilical Artery or Vein Catheterization.

EMR System : EPIC

Schedule : Approximately 21 day / night shifts per month, starting in June.
