Overview

The Director, IT PMO is responsible for establishing and leading a high-performing Project Management Office (PMO) that drives strategic execution, governance, and delivery excellence across the organization. This role ensures that project management practices are standardized, scalable, and aligned with business goals and Gallagher standards. In this role, you will champion continuous improvement, foster collaboration, and make visible project performance, risks, and value realization. You can be fully remote / virtual / work from home and you can sit anywhere in the US or Canada.

About You

Bachelor's degree in Business, Engineering, Information Technology, or related field. PMP required; additional certifications such as Agile, SAFe LPM, PROSCI, or Lean Six Sigma are a plus. 10+ years of strong program and project management experience focused on organizing, planning, and executing large-scale, cross-organizational projects from vision through implementation, involving internal personnel, contractors, and vendors, 5+ years of experience in a leadership role. Proven experience in establishing and scaling PMOs in complex, matrixed environments. Advanced understanding of project management methodologies and frameworks (ie, PMI, PRINCE2, SAFe, Agile) including the ability to identify and resolve issues, manage risk, develop detailed work plans and specifications, perform resource allocations and run team meetings. Experience with project portfolio management tools such as Planview and enterprise reporting platforms. Demonstrated experience using Azure DevOps for project delivery, tracking, and collaboration. Excellent leadership, communication, and stakeholder management skills. Demonstrated effective relationship management and ability to influence key decision makers. Creative thinker who can quickly adjust between strategy and execution as well as adapt to dynamic needs that may arise Strong vendor negotiation and partnering skills with experience in outsourcing and offshore development.

Compensation and Benefits

We offer a competitive and comprehensive compensation package. The base salary range represents the anticipated low end and high end of the range for this position. The actual compensation will be influenced by a wide range of factors including, but not limited to previous experience, education, pay market / geography, complexity or scope, specialized skill set, lines of business / practice area, supply / demand, and scheduled hours.
