Senior Manager of Payroll

Location : Downtown Chicago, IL (Hybrid)

Salary : $130,000 - $180,000

About the Role

Our client, a leading organization in the Chicago area, is seeking a Senior Manager of Payroll to lead payroll operations for a large, multi-cycle workforce. This role offers hybrid flexibility and requires strong leadership and technical expertise in payroll management.

Key Responsibilities

  • Oversee payroll operations for weekly, biweekly, and monthly cycles across multiple locations.
  • Manage and optimize ADP systems to ensure accurate and timely payroll processing.
  • Lead and mentor payroll team members, providing guidance and development.
  • Ensure compliance with federal, state, and local payroll regulations.
  • Collaborate with HR and Finance teams to streamline processes and improve data accuracy.
  • Handle complex payroll issues and drive process improvements.

Qualifications

  • ADP experience is required .
  • Proven management experience leading payroll teams.
  • Expertise in multi-cycle payroll processing (weekly, biweekly, monthly).
  • Strong knowledge of payroll compliance and reporting.
  • Excellent leadership, communication, and problem-solving skills.
