- We have an urgent contract opening for an Integration Engineer focused on environmental and electromagnetic interference (EMI) testing within the aerospace industry, specifically for aircraft electrical power equipment.
Job Responsibilities :
Assist in the preparation and review of environmental and EMI test procedures and reports under the guidance of a senior engineer.Contribute to the development of custom test equipment designs and drawings, working from existing templates or with direct supervision.Perform routine system integration and development tests using established procedures and standard lab equipment.Support the analysis of test data to identify basic technical issues and contribute to troubleshooting efforts.Maintain and organize test data and documentation to ensure accuracy and adherence to project standardsProvide technical support to internal technicians during the performance of tests and the building of custom test equipment.Learn and apply industry standards like DO-160, MIL-STD-810, and MIL-STD-461 to test procedures and practices.Job Qualifications :
Bachelor's degree in electrical engineering from an accredited institution or other technical discipline requiredFamiliarity with environmental testing standards, specifically DO-160 and MIL-STD-810, with a demonstrated ability to learn and apply these standards.Basic knowledge of EMI testing standards, particularly MIL-STD-461, and an interest in gaining experience with EMI test procedures.Experience in a lab setting with the ability to perform tests and collect data using both custom and standard lab test equipment.Foundational understanding of data analysis and documentation, including organizing test data and assisting in the review of results for accuracy.Aptitude for learning to design custom test equipment, with a basic understanding of how to interpret and create associated drawings.Effective communication skills for working with and supporting senior engineers, technicians, and other internal team members.Willingness to learn and grow with the team, taking on a limited variety of technical problems and assisting with troubleshooting efforts.Preferred Job Qualifications :
Familiarity with lab environments, including basic safety protocols and the organization of test equipment and materials.A strong interest in learning how to define and use standard and custom test equipment for troubleshooting.Basic computer skills and familiarity with project management tools, such as JIRA, for task tracking and communication.An eagerness to assist in preparing presentations and other technical documentation for internal audiences.Job Details :
