Manufacturing Engineering Manager
Eaton's Electrical division is currently seeking a Manufacturing Engineering Manager to join our team in Worcester, MA. Relocation assistance available within US.
This position will be responsible for driving and managing multiple Continuous Improvement activities in the facility. The Manufacturing Engineering Manager is responsible for supporting plant leadership in achieving business and financial goals by developing and maintaining robust manufacturing processes and leading continuous improvement / cost out initiatives across the organization. Additional responsibility includes executing the organization's strategic plan consistent with federal, state, and local regulations, established industry standards, and customer requirements. Responsibilities include Implementation of Manufacturing Engineering tasks / projects and Management of a team of engineers.
The expected annual salary range for this role is $94,000 - $138,000 a year.

What You'll Do :
Ensure all processes meet or exceed Eaton Safety (MESH machine safety) and quality standards by supporting MESH requirements, gage R&R, capability studies, 8D, and root cause and corrective action activities to support failure analysis, as required.
Responsible for the engineering road map and overall management by planning, coordination, and direction of activities to the Manufacturing Engineering team in relation to support of existing products and introduction of new products.
Prioritizes and delegates daily work load for Manufacturing Engineering Team and balances team's short-term, long-term, and shop-support responsibilities.
Maintains the process for research, determination, composition, and evaluation of Capital Appropriation Requests (including payback and net present value analysis).
Manage, evaluate, and lead multiple projects and events that lead to attaining strategic direction, business benefits such as cost-savings objects and promotes culture of continuous improvement.
Conducts project reviews as needed to ensure successful and timely completion of projects.
Interface with Specials Process (Engineered to Order) by managing manufacturing engineering through the loading of the AS400 system, Bill of Materials, routings, and programing.
Assists leadership team and others in performing work load analysis and resource optimization by driving multiple forms of standard work consistent with continuous improvement practices. Standard work includes but is not limited to time studies, operations sheets, Bills of Materials, cross training charts, routings, item masters, work instructions, control plans, tooling, gauging, and ETC.
Promotes culture of continuous improvement, understands lean manufacturing and Six Sigma techniques as they apply to eliminate waste and deliver products to customer's expectations.
Drives short-term and long-term improvements through the Value stream mapping process to move from the current state to the future state processes based on the strategic and annual plan by utilizing planning, reviews, support, and conducting of improvements.
Basic (Required) Qualifications :
Bachelor's degree from an accredited institution
Minimum of three (3) years experience in a manufacturing role
Minimum of two (2) years of leadership experience

Preferred Qualifications :
Bachelor's degree in Mechanical, Industrial, or process Engineering
Ability to work on multiple projects at the same time with little direction
Knowledge of engineering and design principles and know how to put this knowledge into action
Lean and Operational-Excellence expertise
Background in DMM, Metamation programs
Position Success Criteria :
Proficient in AutoCAD, Microsoft Office Products
Ability to work with various functions in a manufacturing and non-manufacturing environment.
Ability to juggle multiple projects with little direction.
Problem solving, lean principles and Six Sigma skills. Data mining and other process improvement tools to improve process efficiency.
Ensure that all manufacturing objectives are being met.
Ability to handle ambiguity and fluid situations with a flexible mindset.
Knowledge of cost savings and other basic accounting techniques to drive and capture cost savings and initiatives.
Knowledge of MRP / ERP Systems with the ability to evaluate, and make recommendations on materials strategies based on the Strategic Directions of the facility.
Ability to take a project lead role and comfortable working in a fast moving continuous improvement culture.
