If you’re a go-getter who knows your way around food service sales — and maybe even has some sweet experience in bakery sales — then you just might be the next star to join Zilka & Company in Allentown, PA.

We’re a fourth-generation, family-owned bakery supply business that’s been serving customers since 1923. We take pride in doing things the right way — great products, strong relationships, and a company culture that’s as warm as a fresh loaf of bread.

We’re looking for a Sales Representative who’s self-motivated, passionate about food, and ready to bring their “A game” to a growing company that actually appreciates your hustle.

What You’ll Be Doing :

Building Relationships That Stick (Like Glaze on a Donut) :

  • Get to know your customers — their needs, challenges, and opportunities — and turn that into long-term loyalty.
  • Keep customers in the loop with order updates, pricing, and product info.
  • Resolve issues quickly and keep things running smoother than melted butter.
  • Manage your territory like a pro and find new business along the way.

Growing the Dough :

  • Bring in new customers through cold calls, warm calls, and “hey-I-heard-you-love-bread” calls.
  • Spot opportunities where competitors are dropping the ball and turn them into wins.
  • Expand product usage with existing accounts.

    • Keeping the Business Side Tight :

  • Submit accurate forecasts and volume projections — your crystal ball (or spreadsheet) skills will shine here.
  • Help manage customer payment terms and collections when needed.

    • Staying Connected :

  • Communicate regularly with Zilka & Company management and your customers.
  • Participate in calls, meetings, and occasional in-person gatherings — because great ideas rise when we work together.

    • What You’ll Bring to the Table :

  • Strong sales chops and people skills — you’re a relationship builder.
  • Organized, driven, and comfortable juggling multiple tasks (without dropping the dough).
  • A self-starter who works well independently and meets deadlines.
  • Tech-friendly — familiar with Word, Excel, and PowerPoint.
  • Experience in food service sales, preferably bakery sales.
  • Bilingual in English and Spanish preferred, but not required.
  • Willingness to travel for company business.
