This is a remote position. We are looking for a highly organized and detail-oriented Virtual Medical Assistant (VMA) to join our team. The successful candidate will be responsible for supporting healthcare providers with administrative and clinical tasks, ensuring smooth workflow, and enhancing patient care. Key Responsibilities :

• Manage patient scheduling, appointments, and reminders.
• Assist with medical documentation, including charting and updating electronic health records (EHR / EMR).
• Handle insurance verifications, pre-authorizations, and referral coordination.
• Communicate with patients via phone, email, or messaging to address inquiries, follow-ups, and appointment confirmations.
• Process prescription refills and coordinate with pharmacies as needed.
• Assist providers with telehealth visits by documenting patient encounters in real time.
• Maintain accurate and up-to-date patient records while ensuring compliance with HIPAA and confidentiality regulations.
• Perform basic billing support, including verifying patient insurance coverage and handling prior authorizations.
• Coordinate with medical staff and other healthcare professionals to facilitate smooth patient care.
• Manage administrative tasks such as data entry, report preparation, and handling correspondence.
