Plant Accountant

We are seeking a skilled Plant Accountant to join our team. This role involves preparing and consolidating financial statements, performing month-end and year-end closings, and supporting budgeting and forecasting efforts. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in accounting and finance, particularly within a manufacturing environment.

Responsibilities :

• Prepare and consolidate financial statements to ensure accuracy of accounting data.
• Perform month-end and year-end closings, reconciliations, and journal entries.
• Analyze accounts, resolve discrepancies, and maintain ledgers and subsidiary accounts.
• Support budgeting, forecasting, and cash flow management.
• Understand job cost, cost analysis, and inventory market.
• Assist with audits and maintain internal controls.
• Provide accounting support for inventory and product pricing.
• Handle daily accounting operations, including accounts payable / receivable and cash receipts.
• Monitor and report on financial performance; recommend cost-saving and profit-improvement strategies.
• Participate in setting and reviewing standard costs and analyze variances.
• Complete other duties and projects as assigned.

Work Environment :

The work environment is an open concept office, usually quiet to moderate in noise level. This is a very hands-on role within a tight-knit group of professionals who are passionate about their work.

Job Type & Location :

This is a Contract to Hire position based out of Kenosha, WI.

Pay and Benefits :

The pay range for this position is $33.00 - $36.06 / hr. Eligibility requirements apply to some benefits and may depend on your job classification and length of employment. Benefits are subject to change and may be subject to specific elections, plan, or program terms.
