Role Description This is a full-time on-site role as an Infectious Disease Specialist in St. Louis, MO. The Infectious Disease Specialist will be responsible for evaluating and managing patients with a variety of infectious diseases, including but not limited to respiratory infections, wound infections, and sexually transmitted diseases. The successful candidate will work directly with patients, providing diagnosis, treatment, and ongoing care. Additionally, the Infectious Disease Specialist will collaborate with other medical professionals to implement infection control policies and procedures. Qualifications Doctor of Medicine (MD) or Doctor of Osteopathy (DO) degree Board Certification or Board Eligibility in Infectious Disease required Valid state medical license and DEA registration Experience in the management of infectious diseases, and appropriate use of antimicrobial therapy, including knowledge of pharmacology, antibiotic resistance patterns, and stewardship principles Ability to interpret microbiologic and laboratory data, and familiarity with molecular diagnostic techniques, including PCR and other nucleic acid-based amplification assays Experience with infection prevention and control practices in healthcare settings Excellent communication skills, and ability to work collaboratively with other medical professionals to achieve patient-centered goals Commitment to ongoing education and professional development in the field of Infectious Diseases About Area : St. louis is large multicultural city with lots of attractive places to visit.
