About the Role

We’re seeking a

Senior Data Science Manager

to lead our

Advertising Data Science

team. In this role, you'll be at the forefront of

shaping the future of advertising on Discord , helping advertisers build meaningful connections with our

global community .

You’ll drive

data-driven ad strategies , optimize measurement frameworks, and lead a

high-impact team

focused on advancing

mobile advertising

within the

gaming and digital ecosystem . Reporting to the

Director of Data Science Analytics for Advertising , you’ll collaborate with

Sales, Product, and Marketing

teams to enhance

ad performance, measurement, and efficiency .

Lead & Develop

a high-performing team of

Data Scientists

focused on

mobile and gaming-centric advertising analytics .

Define & Execute Measurement Strategies

– Oversee

data-driven ad performance optimization

and

scalable reporting solutions .

Design & Implement Causal Analytics Frameworks

– Drive

A / B testing

and

causal inference models

to improve

ad efficacy .

Enhance Advertiser Engagement

– Develop

data-backed playbooks

to guide

campaign strategies

across markets.

Build Actionable Insights

– Create

BI dashboards and analytics tools

for

Sales and advertisers .

Foster Data Fluency

– Train

Sales, Marketing, and cross-functional teams

on measurement techniques and data utilization.

Collaborate with Industry Leaders

– Work with

top global advertisers and agencies

to maximize

ad performance .

Who You Are

Experienced Data Leader :

8+ years in

data science, advanced analytics, and measurement

in

mobile / gaming industries .

Proven Manager :

3+ years leading teams of

5+ Data Scientists , driving

high-impact analytics projects .

Causal Analytics Expert :

Proficient in

A / B testing, causal modeling, and experimental analysis .

Technical Proficiency :

Strong in

SQL, Python, R , and statistical modeling techniques.

Mobile Ad Specialist :

Knowledge of

mobile ad tech, attribution models, ad optimization, and performance measurement .

Data Visualization & BI Skills :

Experience with

Hex, Mode, Looker, Tableau , and other BI tools.

Strong Communicator :

Ability to translate

complex data insights

into

clear, actionable business strategies .

Ad Industry Knowledge :

Deep understanding of

brand and direct-response ad campaigns, measurement methodologies, and ad efficacy .

Bonus Points

Advanced Degree

(Master’s / Ph.D.) in

Statistics, Economics, Computer Science, or Engineering .

Experience working with top global advertisers

in

mobile gaming, real-money gaming, and e-commerce .

Machine Learning Expertise

in

forecasting, targeting, and ad personalization .

Familiarity with Cloud Platforms

(BigQuery, AWS) and

data governance practices .

Passion for Discord’s community

and an understanding of

its unique digital landscape .
