Steps Therapy specializes in providing comprehensive programs to enhance a child’s independence. By combining highly-trained behavior therapists, transparent data collection, and developmentally appropriate programming, we will create a program our clients can trust— with results that are evident. We provide client services primarily in San Francisco, Daly City, South San Francisco, San Bruno, Millbrae, San Mateo, Foster City, and Redwood City.
We are always seeking qualified Behavior Analysts who are dedicated to helping others and making a difference in a child's life. This position is salaried exempt, with the pay range falling between $70,000 - $90,000 annually, dependent upon experience. Alternatively, this position can be structured to fit into an hourly nonexempt model for individuals seeking part-time employment.
- Please note this position is not fully remote / virtual and requires select client services to be provided in person.
As a Behavior Analyst, you will be responsible for designing and implementing behavior intervention programs to young children with special needs and providing their families with training to reinforce learned skills. In addition, you are responsible for providing support to individuals in the Program Director role and Behavior Technician roles.
Primary Responsibilities
Oversight and management of 1 : 1 home or school-based intensive behavioral therapyDesign individualized lessons and behavior plans that target the developmental needs of the client, and directly serve to reduce / replace any challenging behavior exhibited by the clientEnsure that the program utilizes evidence-based teaching strategies including but not limited to discrete trial teaching, natural environment training, incidental teaching, pivotal response training, and verbal behaviorFacilitate social skills trainingMonitor the child's progress and graphs to ensure progress is occurring, and intervene when the data path is stagnant or variableUpdate binder and data sheets as needed to ensure all staff are carrying out the program as designedCommunicate with team and family regarding child's progress / behaviors and any intervention modificationsAttend team meetings (once per month per child), as well as internal and external professional workshopsWork collaboratively with teammates, parents, and other professionalsComplete required progress reports as outlined by reporting dates documentMaintain agreed upon schedule for the child, arrive at scheduled sessions in a timely manner, and notify families of any schedule changes when necessaryMaintain client confidentialityCommunicate and collaborate with other Behavior Analysts on an as-needed basis to ensure continuity across programs, staff development, and program qualityPerform other related duties as requiredPhysical Demands
Ability to regularly stand, sit, squat, bend, twist, and lift up to 50 lbs.Qualifications
