About Us

VET NEXT DOOR is a family owned & operated veterinary hospital in Parrish, FL. Our practice opened in August 2022, focusing on companion animal medicine, surgery, and dentistry. We operate in a brand new, state-of-the-art facility in order to maintain high-quality care for our patients. We are a "Low Stress Handling" hospital, with an emphasis on creating a positive experience for clients and their pets at every visit.

Available Position

Full or Part Time positions available for veterinary technicians or assistants. We are looking for dedicated and compassionate professionals who will enjoy building relationships with pet owners in our community. Experience in the field is preferred, but training is available for the right applicant.

We offer :

Enjoy a 4-day work week with NO Weekends! We are open Monday - Friday from 8am-5pm. No boarding or grooming.

Our work schedules are flexible as we believe in work-life balance for all team members.

Veterinary Assistant & Technician Duties & Requirements

Duties include patient check-in, pet restraint, filling prescriptions, patient record keeping, vaccinations, x-ray positioning, drawing blood, performing laboratory tests, patient monitoring, client education, administering medications / treatments, and general hospital upkeep.

In addition the above duties, experienced individuals on the medical team are responsible for IV placement, surgical assistance, anesthesia monitoring, and dental prophylaxis.

There are also some administrative duties such as answering phones, scheduling, ordering supplies, controlled substance reporting, staff training, and maintaining high standards of practice. We utilize an easy-to-use veterinary software called Vetspire. Basic computer and typing skills are required.
