As Facilities Manager, you will oversee Shaver Hall's maintenance, safety, and operational performance. You’ll manage all building systems, vendor relationships, and maintenance operations to ensure the space remains pristine, efficient, and compliant with city and state regulations. From day-to-day repairs and preventive maintenance to large-scale capital projects, your work will directly impact the guest experience and the property's overall success.
WHAT YOU’LL DO
- Oversee all building systems, repairs, and maintenance for Shaver Hall’s venue and operational areas.
- Develop and execute preventive maintenance schedules to ensure reliability and cost efficiency.
- Coordinate facility-related projects, upgrades, and installations with leadership and external vendors.
- Manage HVAC, electrical, and plumbing systems to maintain safe, efficient performance.
- Support the daily readiness of all public and back-of-house spaces, ensuring compliance with health and safety standards.
- Lead safety, sanitation, and equipment training for facilities and operations staff.
- Partner with third-party vendors and contractors to ensure quality, timeliness, and adherence to regulations
- Collaborate with leadership to develop capital expenditure plans and cost analyses for repairs or improvements.
- Maintain accurate maintenance records, inspection logs, and reporting for leadership and compliance.
- Support event operations by ensuring building systems, security, and equipment readiness for large-scale activations.
QUALIFICATIONS
5+ years of facilities management experience in hospitality, multi-unit, or entertainment settings.Working knowledge of commercial kitchen and bar equipment, HVAC systems, plumbing, electrical, and energy management systems.Strong understanding of preventive maintenance programs and vendor management.Proven leadership skills with the ability to train, motivate, and develop a facilities team.Familiarity with NYC building codes, safety practices, and compliance standards.Exceptional organizational, communication, and project management abilitiesAbility to manage multiple priorities and meet deadlines in a dynamic, fast-paced environment.THE GOOD STUFF
