Certified Coder - Outpatient Surgery

A company is looking for a Sr. Coder Abstractor - Outpatient Surgery.

Key Responsibilities

Analyze medical records to determine coding and abstraction needs, ensuring productivity standards are met

Assign ICD10-CM, ICD10-PCS, and CPT-4 codes in accordance with established guidelines

Communicate with healthcare professionals for clarification on records to ensure accurate coding and compliance

Required Qualifications

Associate's or Bachelor's degree in Health Information, or CCS certification with 2 years of coding experience

Certification as RHIT, RHIA, or CCS is required

1-3 years of experience using ICD10-CM and ICD10-PCS coding systems

Ability to meet productivity and quality standards
