Clinical Documentation Specialist

A company is looking for a Clinical Documentation Specialist.

Key Responsibilities :

Participate in clinical documentation improvement initiatives at the organizational level

Communicate with physicians regarding missing or unclear medical record documentation

Evaluate daily clinical documentation and prepare data for presentations to healthcare providers

Required Qualifications :

Three years of clinical acute care nursing experience or completion of Health Records Administration program with three years of relevant experience

Prior CDI work experience preferred

Knowledge of computer technology and quality assurance activities preferred

Professional communication skills with healthcare staff and providers required

Relevant licensure or certifications such as CCS, RN, or RHIT required
