Job Description / n

American Traveler is seeking a CT Technologist with 2+ years of acute care experience and required ARRT certification for a busy trauma imaging department.

/ n / n Responsibilities / n

Work in an acute care setting as part of the CT scan department

Department has 2 scanners : GE VCCT 64 Lightspeed and GE Revolution

Performs trauma imaging including brain, head, chest, abdomen, pelvis, maxillofacial, soft tissue neck, extremities, spines, stroke protocol, CT pulmonary, CTA-angiography, and CT urograms

Average volume of 100 scans per day

Shifts are 10 hours with options for 3 : 00 PM – 11 : 30 PM or 6 : 30 AM – 3 : 00 AM, weekend shifts required

On-call required : Mon-Fri 9 : 00 PM – 6 : 30 AM and Sat / Sun 7 : 00 AM – 7 : 00 PM

Possible floating to imaging / x-ray as needed

Uses Cerner EMR and PACS system

Department-specific orientation provided

Radiologist is in-house for support

Weekend shift coverage is required; holiday coverage is not required

Candidates must provide a copy of their driver's license for consideration

Two professional references are required, including one from a supervisor within the past 12 months and one from either a peer or supervisor from within the past 3 years

Scrub requirements are not specified

Minimum of 2 years CT technologist experience in an acute care or trauma setting

Current BLS certification required

Certified CT Technologist – ARRT (CT), Certified Radiologic Technologist – ARRT (R), and Fluoroscopic Radiologic Technologist license required

License required if applicable

COVID vaccine required

Must be able to start IVs

Experience using Cerner EMR and PACS preferred
