Job Title : Pharmacist Level 1 Profession : Pharmacist Specialty : Contract Duration : 13 weeks Shift : 10 PM - 8 AM Hours per Shift : 40.00 Experience : 0-2 years as a licensed Pharmacist License : Graduate from an accredited College of Pharmacy Must-Have : Additional skills in chemotherapy preparation Ability to float to critical care, pediatrics, oncology, transplant, medicine, and cardiac units Description : The Pharmacist Level 1 serves patients by preparing medications. Gives pharmacological information to a multidisciplinary health care team. Monitors patient drug therapies. Dispenses medications accurately and in a timely fashion. Resolves questions regarding formulary and non-formulary medications, following policies and procedures. Provides dosing and therapeutic recommendations based on patient age and kinetics supported by literature. Performs patient education, including but not limited to proper dosing as prescribed. Educates patients on taking medications on time and informs them about potential side effects. Addresses interactions with other drugs the patient might be taking, all in accordance with department requirements.
