Assistant Director of Academic Personnel for the Social Sciences

Under the leadership and supervision of the Director of CHASS Academic Personnel the Assistant Director serves as a critical member on the CHASS Academic Personnel team and will oversee a team of analysts fulfilling the portfolio of AP actions including appointments, reappointments, merits, promotions, retentions and leaves. The Assistant Director will participate in strategic planning, perform in depth analysis of policies and procedures and formulate recommendations in a wide variety of academic personnel areas. This position supervises 3 staff supporting the processes for 13 departments and is responsible for ensuring timelines are met and files are in compliance with policies and procedures. The Assistant Director will provide a high level of customer service and support on complex issues to the Dean, Associate Deans, department chairs and staff within CHASS.The full salary range for the Assistant Director of Academic Personnel for the Social Sciences is $93,200 - $174,200 annually. We base salary offers on a variety of considerations, such as education, licensure and certifications, experience, and other business and organizational needsApplicants must have current work authorization when accepting a UCR staff position.
