Forklift Operator & Material Handler

Location : Richmond, CA

Pay : $25 / hr

Shift : 5 : 30 AM 3 : 00 PM

Type : Temp-to-Hire

About the Role

We are looking for a reliable and safety-focused Forklift Operator & Material Handler to join our warehouse team in Richmond. This position plays an essential role in supporting daily warehouse operations, including dock inspections, material movement, packaging-line activities, and general warehouse upkeep.

If you're an experienced forklift operator who enjoys hands-on work and a fast-paced environment, this is an excellent opportunity to grow into a long-term position.

Key Responsibilities

  • Perform dock inspections and assist with offloading and unloading trucks
  • Palletize, stage, and organize materials
  • Maintain cleanliness and housekeeping standards on the front dock
  • Operate sit-down and propane forklifts for warehouse material movement
  • Run and monitor automated packaging line equipment (HMI experience a plus)
  • Set up IBP equipment, assist with filling, product labeling, and bottle / depalletizing prep
  • Support re-work projects and inventory control activities
  • Use scanners, labelers, and warehouse computer systems for inventory tracking

Required Experience & Skills

  • 12 years of warehouse experience
  • 1+ year of material handling experience involving heavy lifting
  • 1+ year of forklift operation experience (sit-down & propane)
  • Computer proficiency : inventory systems, RF scanners, labeling equipment
  • Ability to work safely and follow standardized processes

    • Preferred Qualifications

  • Hazmat training (strongly preferred)
  • OSHA-approved 6-inch safety boots required

    • Job Type & Location : This is a Contract position based out of Richmond, CA.

    Pay and Benefits : The pay range for this position is $25.00 - $25.00 / hr. Eligibility requirements apply to some benefits and may depend on your job classification and length of employment. Benefits are subject to change and may be subject to specific elections, plan, or program terms.
