Overview
Enbridge is seeking a dedicated and highly skilled
Mechanical Technician II
to support the safe and reliable operation of our compressor stations. In this role, you will ensure the optimal performance of critical mechanical systems that support the delivery of natural gas across our network. This is an outstanding opportunity to further your mechanical expertise in a dynamic, safety-focused environment.
Key Responsibilities
Perform operation, inspection, maintenance, troubleshooting, and repair of station systems, including :
Air systems and air dryers
Fuel systems
Cooling systems
Gas compression equipment
Prime movers and associated mechanical systems
Recognize, diagnose, and respond to abnormal operating conditions.
Accurately complete required documentation, including maintenance records and operational reports.
Provide guidance and support to other team members performing station maintenance tasks.
Work safely and actively participate in all company safety programs and initiatives.
Operate and troubleshoot turbine / compressor package units, including start / stop procedures, alarm response, and monitoring operational variables.
Assist in troubleshooting and repairing equipment across the station.
Work independently on routine assignments and contribute effectively to team environments.
Participate in design reviews and interpret diagrammatic and one-line drawings.
Ensure preventative maintenance schedules and operational records are accurate and up to date.
Monitor operational pressures, alarm set points, and equipment performance.
Operate turbine systems, auxiliary equipment, and station valves as required.
Support planning tasks and provide budget-related input when needed.
Perform additional duties as assigned to support station operations.
Qualifications
Required :
High school diploma or equivalent.
Minimum
2 years of relevant mechanical experience .
Valid driver’s license.
Ability to perform physically demanding work in varying weather conditions.
Willingness to work overtime, weekends, shifts, on-call / standby, and travel overnight as needed.
Reside within or willing to relocate within
30 miles
of the reporting location.
Desired Skills & Experience :
Strong desire to learn and advance in mechanical systems.
Working knowledge of pipeline operations, equipment maintenance, and mechanical repair.
Strong technical aptitude with analytical problem-solving abilities.
Proficiency with Microsoft Excel and Word.
Ability to work independently with minimal direction.
Strong written and verbal communication skills.
Demonstrated commitment to safety and adherence to SOPs and regulatory requirements.
Team-focused mindset with values of integrity, inclusivity, and openness.
Self-starter with a willingness to take initiative.
Physical Requirements
Activities may include, but are not limited to :
Balancing, bending, stooping, climbing, crawling, kneeling
Carrying and lifting up to 25 lbs
Repetitive motion, pulling (hand-over-hand), pushing
Reaching above shoulder level
Sitting, standing, and walking for extended periods
Visual ability to read screens, color codes, and fine print
Adequate hearing for telephone communication and equipment monitoring
Mental Requirements

Ability to solve moderately complex problems and collaborate on solutions
Strong organizational skills with the ability to prioritize tasks
Ability to complete routine forms and produce reports or correspondence
