Controls Engineer

Controls Engineer Design, develop, install, and maintain equipment which is used to monitor and control engineering systems and processes. Assists in creating and following mechanical and electrical design schedule, from specification concept to system up completion, while keeping to an overall project schedule. Testing, evaluating, modifying and calibrating products and instruments. Product and instruments testing includes; Development & Validation of Controls of the power-shift transmission for Large Trucks and Dozers, design and testing of the model-based control systems for large vehicles in a virtual simulation environment, Validation large vehicle control systems via analysis of data obtained from simulation testing, lab testing and field testing. Analyze plant processes, design and implement improvements Troubleshooting issues with hardware and processes. Design, develop, and validate drivetrain control systems for OEM and machine applications. Salary $98,000+ / yr DOE. Position is in Mossville, IL. Email resume to positions@harveynash.com Requirements Bachelor Degree in Mechanical, Aerospace Engineering or similar and 3+ years of experience in Aerospace Engineering or a Masters Degree in Aerospace Engineering or similar if no experience Controls engineering knowledge in aerospace or robotics Familiarity with engine controls for Air, Fuel and Aftertreatment Experience in the design or development of powershift transmissions desired. Data acquisition experience desired. Lab or machine test or simulation experience desired. DATK, Dynasty, Matlab, Simulink, and / or ATI Vision experience desired. Understanding of control systems theory Strong problem solving skills
