Position Overview
We are seeking an experienced Scrub Technician to support surgical teams in a fast-paced operating room environment. Working under the direct supervision of a surgeon, the Scrub Tech plays a critical role in ensuring safe, efficient, and sterile surgical procedures while anticipating the needs of the surgical team to maximize patient safety and outcomes.
Key Responsibilities
Prepare and verify supplies, instruments, and equipment prior to surgical proceduresPerform surgical hand scrubs and gown / glove self, surgeons, and assistantsMaintain strict adherence to sterile technique throughout proceduresAssist with draping the sterile field and passing instruments to the surgeonPerform surgical counts with the circulating staff before incision and prior to closureAssist with terminal cleaning of the operating room following proceduresClean, prepare, and organize instruments for terminal sterilizationPrepare the surgical suite for subsequent casesSupport orientation and training of new staff and students in the Scrub Tech roleScope of Practice

Graduate of a Trade or Technical School (Certificate or Diploma)Certification by the National Board of Surgical Technology and Surgical Assisting (NBSTSA)Minimum of 3 years of recent Scrub Technician experienceActive and unrestricted state license (if applicable)Strong knowledge of surgical procedures, instrumentation, and sterile techniquesAdditional Information
