The Opportunity
Lead the independent conception execution and communication of complex technical R&D strategies driving solutions that achieve project deliverables and broader functional and critically evaluate scientific or regulatory advances. Lead research efforts on his/her own project and contribute scientific insights into other projects. Consistently demonstrate excellent record of accomplishment of scientific and business objectives. Initiates directs and executes research and/or development strategies in research and/or development. Maintains broad knowledge of state of the art principles and theories. Makes contributions to scientific literature and conferences. May participate in development of patent applications. Interact with suppliers to resolve scientific and technical challenges. Assist with product development as a member of product development teams (develop project plans conduct and participate in design reviews develop analytical methods). May hire and manage junior staff.

Responsible for the development and coordination of research projects and clinical study activities to advance clinical science objectives and support the development of new product offerings. Identifies minimum requirements for study needs. Responsible for rationale for study key elements of protocol design statistical analysis and reporting of results. The role will provide product and field knowledge during study concept discussion study design protocol and/or workflow development and support data interpretation and manuscript review of the studies. The role will interact with internal and external experts and stakeholders.

Key responsibilities:

• Trial design expert outlines and reviews protocol and statistical analysis plan
• Coordinates team interfaces for study launch manages dependencies and trial readiness
• Key input to product development with user experience and interface development focus
• Fluent in communicating key use cases for patients and health care providers
• Product expert

Required Qualifications

• BS MS or Ph.D. in physics chemistry or other relevant scientific disciplines.
• Ph.D with 3 years of experience; MS with 6 years of experience; BS with minimum 12 years experience in research in industrial or academic setting.
• Must be familiar with standard laboratory techniques.
• Able to present orally and in writing at a professional level.
• Able to perform proficiently under applicable regulatory requirements: ISO FDA or any recognized quality standards and requirements.
