Aerospace Machine Shop is looking for a Quality Inspector

Primary responsibilities :

  • Perform hands-on in-process and final inspection of light assemblies and detail parts in support of an AS9100 certified aerospace machine shop.
  • CMM and manual first part and final inspection.
  • Receiving inspection of supplier furnished product and services.
  • Identify, segregate, and maintain records for non-conforming material.
  • Complete AS9102 First Article Inspection Reports (FAIR's).

    • Knowledge & Skills :

  • Knowledge of CMM inspection and prior experience with PC-DMIS.
  • Strong understanding and ability to interpret engineering drawings, perform basic shop math and familiarity with Geometric Dimensions & Tolerances per ASME Y14.5.
  • Ability to use standard inspection equipment, including micrometer, caliper, and digital height gage.
  • More than basic computer skills, including Microsoft Office.
  • Ability to lift up to 50 lbs.

    • Education and Experience :

  • High School Diploma or Equivalent.
  • Minimum 5+ years Quality Inspection or equivalent education and experience.
  • Previous experience in an aerospace manufacturing environment.
  • Hardness and conductivity inspection experience of machined parts is a plus.

    • Work Schedule :

    Monday-Friday 6 : 00 AM to 2 : 30 PM. Overtime as required.
