Job Description
Experience supporting MySQL databases in the cloud, preferably Google GCP Cloud SQL.
Responsibilities
- 4-6 years of DBA experience
- Ability to work in large application domain, including operational support for multi-region database platform consisting of 150 instances and 200 databases over 12 environments
- Maintain continuous system health and availability
- Administrative support including ID provisioning and security
- War room / incident support with on-call responsibilities
- Support the application development and architecture teams with performance tuning and SQL development.
- Support Infrastructure as a Service (IaaS) with terraform development for DB instance creation and configuration
- Candidate needs to be self-motivated and take initiative with daily tasks and project work. Candidate also needs great written communication and verbal skills, as well as time availability to maintain the relationship with teams across the globe. Organizational skill and attention to detail is critical with the size of the platform that will be managed.
- Working hours starting at 8am CT.
