Job Summary :
Inventory Coordinator Ensures all appropriate supplies and equipment are inventoried, received and distributed in accordance with proper practices.
Supervisory Responsibilities :
Does not oversee other staff.
Duties / Responsibilities :
- In conjunction with departments, determine and update appropriate inventory par levels for stock and nonstock supplies
- Inventory appropriate departments, which will in turn generate supply orders
- Deliver supplies and equipment in a neat, orderly manner
- Receive and deliver all incoming supplies and equipment, ensuring accuracy of shipments, noting damage or shortages
- Responsible for shipment of outgoing supplies, including returns with proper packaging and insurance
- Route packing slips to appropriate personnel
- Keeps the storeroom, staging and dock areas clean and orderly at all times
- Establish and maintain a good professional rapport with the medical staff, administration, nursing personnel, staff for patient care areas, and members of all other departments and services
- Monitors inventory levels and makes necessary adjustments
- Identifies and resolves inventory discrepancies
- Adheres to the appropriate and necessary fiduciary, ethical and professional tone of the corporate purchasing function, both intra and inter departmental
- Adheres to safety policies and practices good body mechanics and ergonomics
- Follows all rules and regulations for PHI and HIPAA protections of patient information
- Follows all policies and procedures, including, but not limited to, attendance, timeliness, and safeguarding confidential information
- Reports incidents in a timely manner
- Promotes patient and employee safety and communicates concerns appropriately, following Chain of Command
- Attends in-service programs as requested
- Demonstrates ability to evaluate suggestions and criticism objectively and undertakes responsibility of changing behavior or seeks further guidance as needed
- Performs other related duties as directed
Required Skills / Abilities :
Knowledge of supplies and equipment.Must be able to understand, read, write and speak English.Must be able to interact with a diverse population professionally.Must be detail oriented and have ability to multi-task effectively and efficiently.Ability to process routine administrative paperwork and basic administrative tasks.Education and Experience :
Previous experience in medical supply position preferred.

Stated Salary is full salary range. Hiring salary cap is limited to mid-point of $25.67.
