Cedar Hill Regional Medical Center GW Health is the first new full-service hospital in Washington, DC in more than years, integrating clinical care with existing community providers, Federally Qualified Health Centers (FQHC’s), The George Washington University Hospital, and our Urgent Care Center in Ward 8. This integrated delivery system is a robust network of care for all District residents, but more importantly, it ensures that residents of Wards 7 and 8 have access to high quality care in their community.
This full-service hospital includes beds (with the ability to expand to beds), a verified trauma center, adult and pediatric emergency departments, maternal health and newborn delivery, an ambulatory pavilion for clinic visits and other outpatient services, a -car garage, and a helipad for emergency transport.
We are seeking a (Part-Time)
Our ideal candidate will work under the direction of the Department Director/Manager/Lead, to perform diagnostic mammography images and is responsible for patient safety protocols. Functions as the first line interface with patients in the successful accomplishment of their mammogram. Performs other duties as assigned.

Qualifications Requirements:
- 2 years prior Mammography experience.
- Certified Mammographer thru the ARRT.
- Graduate from an approved school in Radiologic Technology.
- Current ARRT Certification in Radiology and Mammography.
- Must have current BCLS certification and remain current thereafter. Certification must be in accordance with the curriculum of the AHA, for Healthcare Provider’s Program.
- Able to operate a mammography unit.
- Able to perform screening and diagnostic mammograms.
- Familiarity with breast biopsies.
- Ability to utilize critical thinking to ensure the proper procedure is being performed.
- Knowledge of medical terminology.
Skills:
- Ability to read, analyze, and interpret general business periodicals, professional journals, technical procedures, regulatory or accreditation requirements Ability to effectively present information and respond to questions from managers, clients, customers, and the general public.
- Ability to add, subtract, multiply, and divide in all units of measure, using whole numbers, common fractions, and decimals. Ability to compute rate, ratio, and percent and to draw and interpret bar graphs. Ability to calculate figures and percentages.
- Ability to apply common sense understanding to carry out instructions furnished in written, oral, or diagram form. Ability to solve practical problems and deal with a variety of concrete variables in situations where only limited standardization exists. Ability to interpret a variety of instructions furnished in written, oral, diagram, or schedule form.
- Demonstrates knowledge and ensures compliance with all regulatory bodies, e.g. The Joint Commission and American College of Radiology (ACR) and Title standards and guidelines.
- Demonstrates compliance with hospital policies and procedures at all times.
- Demonstrates strong leadership, organization, communication and interpersonal skills.
- Demonstrates ability to relate to clinical personnel and medical staff, as well as ability to interact well with the public.
- Must have knowledge of PC and applications.
