Job Description

Overview

Under general supervision, performs diagnostic and therapeutic nuclear medicine procedures with radioisotope and radiation detection methods.

Key Responsibilities

• Key Responsibility 1 : Executes basic clinical competence in nuclear medicine technology, in all locations across all patient types. Prepares and administers radiopharmaceuticals and adjunctive medications to perform patient imaging procedures using nuclear medicine instrumentation. Processes data and enhances digital images using advanced computer technology. Provides images, data analysis, and patient information to the physician for diagnostic interpretation. Selects accurate technical factors and appropriateness on an individual patient basis and demonstrates knowledge and skills necessary to provide care appropriate to age of the patient.

Actively participates in the Clinical Ladder Program, if implemented, at the individual System hospital / location, meeting and maintaining all Program standards and requirements.
