Benefits Specialist

As a Benefits Specialist, you will be responsible for providing comprehensive benefits and leave administration, managing systems, supporting employees, and ensuring compliance. You will handle claims management, enrollment processes, and compliance reporting. A full understanding of leave of absence functions, including federal, state, and employee-provided leave benefits, is essential to ensure proper administration and documentation of leave cases.

Responsibilities :

• Create and maintain strong communication for all leave cases, ensuring management, employees, and payroll teams are updated and engaged with leave and return-to-work dates.
• Partner with benefit vendors to ensure enrollment accuracy between the HRIS system and benefit portals, performing regular audits for data integrity.
• Develop and deliver company-wide benefit education sessions, including open enrollment and new hire sessions.
• Provide real-time employee support on coverage / claims concerns and provider issues related to self-funded medical coverages.
• Build workflows and processes within the HRIS system to drive automation and efficiency.
• Offer timely support on complex leave and benefits questions / issues with a strong employee-centric attitude.
• Administer the integration of leave and benefits processes for employees of acquired companies to ensure smooth transitions.
• Perform other duties as assigned.

This is a Permanent position based out of Cleveland, OH. Pay and Benefits The pay range for this position is $50000.00 - $60000.00 / yr. Eligibility requirements apply to some benefits and may depend on your job classification and length of employment.
