MS Access Developer

This Developer will work to maintain compliance. Serve as the lead developer for an existing Microsoft Access database / application. Will perform ongoing database and form maintenance, develop future enhancements, and support potential migration to a Commercial-Off-The-Shelf solution. Participates in working groups to refine new requirements, develop and test solutions, and to identify short and long-term product modification strategies. The successful candidate would be familiar with all aspects of Microsoft Access development including Forms, Visual Basic for Applications (VBA), ActiveX Data Objects, MS Access SQL and Query design, and advanced methods for exporting\importing data in CSV, Text and XML formats. Ability to use and create ODBC connections.

Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities Requirements :

• Significant experience (5-7 years) in the design, development, and documentation of MS Access-based applications.
• Split MS Access Databases into Front Ends and Back Ends for multiuser functionality. Back Ends (BE) to be converted to SQL tables for security and stability.
• Translating the business logic from macros / modules / queries to SQL and other programming language so that the GUI can work flawlessly.
• Strong in SQL Server with writing stored procedures, PL / SQL and migration of tables from MS Access to SQL Server.
• Converting MS Access Forms / Reports to any Web based application.
• Database design, implementation, and documentation.
• Able to work independently to achieve outcomes in an expedient and professional manner
• Flexibility and positive attitude.
• Exception oral, written and interpersonal communication skills
• Knowledge of SharePoint and SharePoint development would be a plus.
