Job Summary

This role will serve as program support for the Heart Failure Community Education Program. This position requires community engagement, identification and recruitment of diverse trainers / instructors, participation in local programs, conducting research, training, and functioning as a community liaison. This position requires up to 50% traveling within the Central Valley and Northern California. #CA-SB

Minimum Qualifications - For full consideration, applicants are encouraged to upload license and / or certification if required of the position

  • Bachelors degree
  • At least two years of experience providing customer service, project management, and engagement with health care providers and medical system.
  • Requires excellent verbal and written communication.
  • Ability to work independently in meeting project deadlines
  • Able to be flexible with competing priorities and deadlines
  • Knowledge or experience in program development and program management
  • Possess organizational skills to develop project plan and monitor plans against established deadlines.
  • Able to direct and delegate training responsibilities to faculty and contractors
  • Advanced problem solving skills and decision making skills
  • Skill to maintain positive interaction with individuals from diverse backgrounds
  • Knowledge of and experience using business software systems in the completion of work assignments i.e., Word, Excel, and PowerPoint.

    The Division of Cardiovascular Medicine is one of 13 divisions in the Department of Internal Medicine. The Division is comprised of 41 clinical / research faculty, 17 non-faculty academics, 7 contract MSP physicians, 20 clinical fellows, 16 volunteers and / or emeritus faculty, 7 administrative office staff, 3 NPs, 3 CRC, and 3 research personnel.

    Department Specific Job Scope

    Uses professional community educational program concepts to deliver and enhance standardized educational programs and volunteer educational programs as needed. Analyzes program content and delivery needs to determine the effectiveness of current programs and identify underrepresented constituencies in the community. Participates in recruitment and outreach activities for the assigned program.
