Road Supervisor Position
We're hiring for a Road Supervisor in Las Vegas, Nevada! We are looking for a highly motivated and experienced Road Supervisor to join our team. The ideal candidate will have a passion for safety and a commitment to ensuring the smooth operation of our transportation network. CBA Position : Position subject to collective bargaining agreement. Pay range : $23.18 - $30.59 per hour. Benefits include vacation, paid sick leave, medical, dental & vision insurance, life insurance, 401k retirement benefits, and company holidays.
Key Responsibilities
- Performs all vehicle operator safety evaluation ride checks, investigates, and responds to situations, helps resolve operational issues, and assists with transit passengers as necessary.
- Communicates job requirements and responsibilities to drivers.
- Takes responsibility for day-to-day scheduling, counseling, and evaluation reports to local management.
- Conducts on-the-scene accident investigation; assists drivers in preparing accident reports, OSHA reports, and safety violations documents.
- Designs and delivers driver training and safety courses; trains new drivers and retrains those involved in accidents.
- Observes drivers on the road and corrects safety problems on the scene while documenting violations.
- Liaisons between drivers and both clients and organization in customer service issues.
- Evaluates and monitors driver safety and performance, as well as compliance in legal, employment, and labor policy matters.
- Assists Safety Manager with DOT / FTA compliance regarding drug testing and recordkeeping.
- Assists in dispatching, driving, interviewing, and miscellaneous clerical tasks as needed.
- Meets all driver qualifications at the location.
- Obtains a CDL required to operate vehicles at the location, maintains that license and drives route periodically.
- Work extended hours regularly, including weekend and overnight shifts when needed.
- Additional duties as assigned.
Qualifications
Commercial Driver's License Class B with passenger and air brake endorsements.A High School Diploma or GED.Supervisory experience with hourly employees.2-3 years of transit supervisory experience preferred.Computer literate with working knowledge of Word, Excel, and PowerPoint.Familiar with basic vehicle mechanical processes and maintenance.Ability to effectively prioritize tasks and manage time effectively.Excellent verbal, written, and relational communication skills, with the ability to appropriately interact with employees of all levels including drivers, customers, senior management, client representatives, union officials, and the general public.Physical Requirements

Work outside in varying temperature, weather, and humidity conditions-100% of the job is performed outside, work alone and in remote locations.Sit for extended periods (up to 68 hours per day); frequently walk for long distances and on possible sloped ground or slippery and uneven surfaces.Push and pull objects up to 50 pounds, occasionally throughout the workday; lift material weighing up to 50 lbs. with or without assistance; occasionally bend, kneel, or crouch to files or equipment stored at ground level.Withstand heavy traffic areas while performing the duties of the job; tolerate exposure to considerable amounts of dust, vehicle fumes and noise.Reasonable accommodations may be made to enable individuals with disabilities to perform the essential functions.
