Fenagh Engineering and Testing is seeking a CWI Inspector with NDT to perform inspections for the shop / field. To include the following : audits, inspecting structural steel fabrication and erection, material identification, welding to include joint fit-up, in-process welding, completed welding, MT & UT as required by code, and high-strength bolting inspections. Ideally this candidate will be an AWS CWI with either their Level I or Level II UT / MT certification from an ASNT Level III. Evaluation from our Level III for both UT (shear wave) / MT will be conducted upon hiring.
The position will be supporting clients in the Los Angeles area.
ICC / CWI / NDT – MT & UT Level II
General Responsibilities :
- Perform observation and inspection in the shop & field.
- Collect MTR's for heat numbers and tracking.
- VT on members in progress.
- UT CJP's as needed.
- MT Fillet Welds as needed.
- High-strength bolting inspections & tests.
- Compile daily reports outlining inspections and reporting deficiencies (if any).
- Read and understand specific project plans and specifications.
- Communicate with project team regarding project requirements and inspection results.
