Role : System Software Programmer - Project Lead

Location : Cayce, SC

Work Arrangement :

100% Remote (Must work EST hours)

Interview Mode : 1 Round Virtual / Online

Shift : EST (Standard business hours with required on-call / weekend support for critical systems)

Key Responsibilities

Technical Leadership : Serve as the IT lead managing project milestones, customer expectations, and status reporting.

Rhapsody Development : Create, update, and monitor Rhapsody routes to handle diverse data formats (HL7, XML, CSV, SOAP) for lab and surveillance systems.

Data Integration : Perform complex programming, ETL solutions, and advanced SQL querying. Transform data into specialized formats like Conduent Maven Integration Format (MIF).

System Maintenance : Debug, troubleshoot, and optimize processes to ensure maximum uptime for critical public health components.

Collaborative Design : Lead code reviews, perform gap analyses, and mentor technical staff on advanced integration topics.

Onboarding : Assist in onboarding providers for HL7 electronic lab reporting (ELR), electronic test orders (ETOR), and case reporting (eCR).

Required Skills & Experience

Rhapsody Engine : 5+ years of experience with

V6+ Rhapsody Integration Engine .

Mapping : 5+ years of experience with

Symphonia Mapping Language (SML) .

HL7 Standards : 5+ years of experience with HL7 (v2.3.1 2.5.1; ORU & ORM message types).

Scripting & Web Services : 5+ years of

JavaScript (ECMA / E4X) and 2+ years of SOAP Web Services.

Data Formats : 2+ years of experience with

XML / XSD / XPath .

Database : 3+ years of experience with

SQL Advanced Join Statements .

Preferred Qualifications

Rhapsody Certification (Highly preferred; please list on resume).

Domain Expertise : Experience with Public Health, Disease Surveillance Systems, or LIMS.

Health Standards : Familiarity with LOINC and SNOMED.

Environment : Experience with Windows Server Administration, DevOps / JIRA, and REDCap.

Security : Understanding of data classification related to CDC, HIPAA, and CJIS.
