[job_card.job_description]Work 36 hours per week with 3x12-hour day shifts from 7 : 00 AM to 7 : 00 PM Must successfully pass Relias EKG Rhythm Interpretation Exam with minimum 80% overall score and 100% on lethal rhythms 2 years of nursing experience required with PCU / IMC / Stepdown experience required Previous charge experience strongly preferred Patient ratio experience of 4-6 patients required ACLS and BLS certifications required Flu vaccine required with no exemptions Every other weekend coverage required based on operational needs Float required to Telemetry and / or Medical-Surgical units as needed (1 : 5 / 1 : 6 ratios) No call required 24-hour orientation provided Care for adult patients with diagnoses including CHF, diabetes, COPD / asthma, sepsis, pneumothorax, ESRD / dialysis, hypertension / hypotension, ETOH withdrawal, and general surgery Perform special procedures including chest tube management, PCA infusions, bedside monitoring, and non-titratable drips Work with specialized equipment including bedside monitoring for up to 8 patients, ultrasound IV, cardiac monitoring, and lift equipment Skills required include central line care, chest tube management, telemetry monitoring, IV insulin protocols, cardiac drip management, and dysrhythmia interpretation Referral bonus
