We are a fast paced dermatology office dedicated to providing high-quality medical, surgical, and cosmetic procedures and skin care. We are seeking a reliable, friendly and detail-oriented both Front and Back Medical Assistant who has EXPERIENCE in DERMATOLOGY.

Duties and Responsibilities FOR BACK OFFICE:

• Apply medical assisting skills, assist with cosmetic, non-cosmetic procedures and surgeries
• Work independently as well as part of a team
• Interview patients and document basic medical history
• Organize and schedule appointments
• Make detailed chart notes, including scribing
• Assist physician in skin surgeries and biopsies
• Handle and process specimens for lab pickup
• Assist during medical examinations
• Assist during cosmetic procedures (Lasers, Botox, Filler etc)
• Prepare and clean exam rooms and medical instruments
• Knowledgeable in phlebotomy
• Knowledgeable with medical terminology
• Knowledgeable with insurances, referral, prior authorization
• Knowledgeable with EMR scheduling systems
• Assist with front and back office duties
• Maintain a clean and organized environment
• Give instructions to patients as directed
• Collect and document patient information, while maintaining compliance regulations
• Return patient phone calls and answer patient questions as directed
• Assist with procedures and administering medications as directed
• 1 year or more experiences in medical office environment, Dermatology back office

Duties and Responsibilities FOR FRONT OFFICE

• Greet and check in patients in a professional and friendly manner
• Answer incoming calls and schedule appointments
• Verify insurance, collect co-pays, and update patient information
• Manage patient flow and maintain an organized front office
• Assist with referrals, authorizations, and patient inquiries
• Confirm appointments and handle cancellations/reschedules
• Maintain patient confidentiality and HIPAA compliance
  
  
• Requirements:
  
  
  • Previous dermatology or other medical front desk experience (1year~)
  • Knowledge of insurance verification and co-pay collection
  • Strong communication and customer service skills
  • Excellent multitasking and organizational abilities
  • Comfortable with computers and EMR systems
  • Professional appearance and positive attitude
