Security Professional - Unarmed Residential Patrol

As a Security Professional - Unarmed Residential Patrol in Westlake Village, CA, you will serve and safeguard clients in a range of industries such as Residential, and more. As a Patrol Unarmed Security Officer with Allied Universal, you will monitor and conduct regular patrols throughout a residential community, helping to deter security-related incidents and offering a visible presence. You will support residents by providing outstanding customer service and clear communication, while addressing access control needs and responding to situations as they arise. This position offers an engaging opportunity to make a positive impact in a residential location, working in a team-oriented environment that values integrity, reliability, and innovation.

Pay Rate : $21.00 / Hour

Job Schedule : DayTime

Mon 02 : 00 PM - 10 : 00 PM

Tue 02 : 00 PM - 10 : 00 PM

Wed 10 : 00 PM - 06 : 00 AM

Sat 02 : 00 PM - 10 : 00 PM

Sun 02 : 00 PM - 10 : 00 PM

What You'll Do :

  • Use our proprietary scheduling platform to claim open shifts at client sites
  • Support operations across a range of environments including commercial real estate, healthcare, and education
  • Receive site-specific training and guidance from experienced teams
  • Deliver consistent, professional security presence and customer service
  • Be ready to fill in at short notice when urgent needs arise

Responsibilities :

  • Provide customer service to residents, guests, and visitors by carrying out security-related procedures and site-specific policies, and when appropriate, emergency response activities.
  • Respond to incidents and critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner to support the residential community.
  • Conduct regular and random patrols around the residential property and its perimeter to help to deter unauthorized activities and identify potential issues.
  • Observe and report any unusual activity or security-related concerns to Allied Universal and appropriate site contacts.
  • Support access control measures by monitoring entrances and exits, verifying credentials as needed, and assisting with visitor management.
  • Maintain detailed and accurate documentation of patrols, incidents, and observations during each shift.
  • Work collaboratively with property management and residents to address security-related needs and concerns in a professional manner.
  • Adhere to all Allied Universal and site-specific guidelines while performing duties in a residential environment.

    • Minimum Requirements :

  • Must have at least 1 year of security-related experience.
  • Access control and / or badge experience is preferred.
  • Comfortable using a computer or tablet is preferred.
  • Ability to lift more than 20 pounds is preferred.
  • A guard card or license is preferred.
  • Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
  • Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
  • As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
  • Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
  • As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
  • Licensing requirements are subject to state and / or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
  • A valid driver's license will be required for driving positions only.
