Overview
The Chief Business Officer (CBO) is a senior executive position responsible for overseeing the financial, human resource, and operational aspects of the organization. Reporting directly to the CEO, the CBO plays a crucial role in strategic planning, financial management, and ensuring the efficient operation of the Boys & Girls Clubs of Huntington Valley.

Rate: $95,000 - $115,000/ annually
Responsibilities
Financial Management:
- Develop and manage the organization's annual budget process, ensuring alignment with strategic objectives and priorities.
- Monitor financial performance and prepare regular reports for senior leadership and the board of directors.
- Implement financial controls and risk management strategies to safeguard the organization's assets.
- Support fundraising efforts, donor relations, and special events, supporting programmatic goals.
- Monitor and oversee payroll.
Strategic Planning:
- Collaborate with senior leadership to develop long-term strategic plans and objectives.
- Identify opportunities for revenue growth, cost optimization, and program expansion to maximize impact.
- Conduct market research and analysis to stay abreast of industry trends and competitive landscape.
Human Resource Management:
- Manage day-to-day operations, including human resources, member management, finance, and administrative functions.
- Streamline processes and procedures to improve efficiency and effectiveness across the organization.
- Ensure compliance with legal and regulatory requirements, including tax filings and reporting obligations.
Partnership Development:
- Cultivate strategic partnerships with government agencies, corporations, foundations, and other stakeholders to advance the organization's mission.
- Negotiate contracts, MOUs, and other agreements to support collaborative initiatives and programs.
- Represent the organization at meetings, conferences, and public events to enhance visibility and support fundraising efforts.
Leadership and Team Management:
- Provide leadership and direction to a diverse team of professionals, fostering a culture of collaboration, innovation, and accountability.
- Mentor and develop staff members, providing opportunities for growth and advancement within the organization.
- Promote diversity, equity, and inclusion initiatives to create a supportive and inclusive work environment.
Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in business administration, finance, or a related field; advanced degree preferred.
- Proven experience in financial management, human resource management, strategic planning, and operations leadership, preferably in the non-profit sector.
- Strong analytical skills and ability to interpret financial data to inform decision-making.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to engage and influence stakeholders at all levels.
- Demonstrated leadership ability, with a track record of building and motivating high-performing teams.

Physical Requirements/ Work Environment
- The person in this position needs to occasionally move about inside the office to access file cabinets, office machinery, etc.
- Frequently operates a computer and other office productivity machinery, such as a calculator, copy machine, and computer printer.
- Occasionally positions self to maintain communication with children
- Frequently communicates with children and parents who have inquiries about the Boys & Girls Clubs of Huntington Valley. Must be able to exchange accurate information in these situations.
