and Drug Screen.

Period of Performance : Estimated : 01 January 2026 31 December 2030

Type of Employment : Part-time not to exceed 32 hours per Month

Estimated Pay : $78.00 to $80.00 per hour

Employment Type : Independent Contractor (1099).

Working Hours

The Optometrist will work no more than 32 hours per month. The working days and hours will be coordinated with the Health Services Department.

Qualifications

• Must be a graduate of an accredited school of optometry.
• Possess an expanded optometry license that permits the prescription of legend ophthalmologic medications.
• Possess a valid and current license to practice optometry in any one of the states or territories in the United States of America.
• Must possess a minimum of five (5) years of experience in optometry.
• Copies of all certifications and resumes must be forwarded with your application.

Summary of Duties : The Optometrist will perform eye examinations and refractions, provide eye prescriptions, fit and adjust eyeglasses, or, in some instances, contact lenses. In an emergency, the contractor may be required to provide eyeglasses and / or the repair of eyeglasses.

Attire

The Optometrist is expected to wear professional clothing while on duty.
