The XFn Senior Associate role at Portage Point Partners represents a unique opportunity for highly motivated professionals to assume a wide set of responsibilities and make a significant impact in a fast-paced, entrepreneurial environment. XFn Senior Associates will focus on all aspects of strategy, financial and operational engagements and work across IB, PI, OCFO and TRS practice lines. XFn Senior Associates should be prepared to work within a small, collaborative team environment to execute discrete work streams.

Responsibilities

• Collaborate with senior team members and clients to address complex financial and operational challenges, including due diligence (financial and operational), value creation, value preservation, business transformation, bankruptcy preparation, and investment banking processes (mergers and acquisitions (M&A), restructuring and capital raising)
• Analyze detailed financial statement information including income statement, balance sheet, cash flow, debt schedules and key operational data
• Develop sophisticated financial and operational models such as three statement operating models, 13-week cash flows (TWCF), discounted cash flows, leveraged buyout analyses, accretion / dilution models and value creation models, ensuring accuracy and strategic alignment
• Support a host of additional workstreams including but not limited to debtor-in-possession (DIP) sizing, first day motions, petition exhibits, vendor analysis, schedule of assets and liabilities (SOALs), statements of financial affairs (SOFAs), monthly operating reports (MORs), TWCF projections, key performance indicator (KPI) tracking, key employee incentive and retention plan development, liquidation analysis, headcount reduction analysis, general ledger review, footprint rationalization, sales and operations planning, organizational design, go-to-market / growth design and business process transformation
• Develop critical presentations and executive reporting packages, including teasers, confidential information memorandums (CIMs), KPIs, financial performance and budget updates, for the board of directors, management, investors and creditors, ensuring high-quality and impactful communication
• Perform quality checks on XFn Associate work product, as applicable
• Share and manage best practices as well as lead internal trainings where required
• Serve as an informal mentor to XFn Associates to enhance team capabilities and encourage knowledge sharing
• Support business development, talent acquisition and firm development efforts
• Contribute to creating a high-performing and inclusive culture

Qualifications

$325,000 - $375,000 a year
