Valid DEA in applicable state

BLS or ACLS upon hire in an acute care hospital

BLS or ACLS within 90 days of hire in an ambulatory clinic

Description :

Using appropriate measures such as history, physical exam, and diagnostics, a physician will diagnose diseases, injuries, and other conditions.

The physician will provide or prescribe appropriate treatment.

With a patient-centered approach, the physician will communicate options to patients.

The physician will address concerns and answer questions, using their expertise to prevent illness and injury.

The physician will use appropriate methods for accurately and completely documenting in the medical record for purposes of continuing care, compliance, quality, safety, and billing.

The physician will provide appropriate leadership and feedback to the clinical team providing patient care.

Consultation with colleagues and referral of patients to other sources of care will occur when clinically appropriate.

The physician will provide availability for office visits, phone calls, electronic communication, and on-call coverage as outlined in policy.

Participation in ongoing organizational efforts of continuous improvement in quality, safety, and patient experience is expected.

The physician will engage in continuous learning and self-improvement.

Promoting the mission, vision, and values of the healthcare organization is essential.

The physician will perform additional duties as defined in the employment agreement and as required by specialty.
