Description :
Assesses clients' physical capacities and psychosocial functions.
Utilizes standardized and non-standardized assessment and measuring tools.
Plans, coordinates, and implements occupational therapy group or individual treatment plans.
Determines appropriate therapy techniques and sequences.
Coordinates treatment plans with other programs for overall client benefit.
Provides consultation with clients and other health care professionals.
Discusses client progress and recommendations for treatment.
Integrates plans with other programs.
Participates in planning, organizing, and controlling occupational therapy services.
Contributes to policies and procedures.
Acts as an interdisciplinary team member.
Assesses and locates suitable adaptive equipment.
Documents evaluations, observations, and assessments of client performance.
Records treatment plans and revisions.
Requisitions supplies and equipment.
Maintains accurate records.
Keeps abreast of current knowledge relevant to occupational therapy.
Participates in reading and attending in-service training.
Attends staff meetings regularly.
