**Hybrid Remote | Onsite 2 weeks per month in Smithfield RI, Merrimack NH, or Westlake TX**
Our client is looking for a Software Engineer who has strong understanding of database technologies and experience building enterprise cloud enabled distributed systems. We are looking for individuals who continually strive to advance engineering excellence and technology innovation.
Due to client requirement, applicants must be willing and able to work on a w2 basis. For our w2 consultants, we offer a great benefits package that includes Medical, Dental, and Vision benefits, 401k with company matching, and life insurance.
Pay: $67 - $72/hr W2
Responsibilities:
- Lead the design and implementation of robust, high-performance database solutions.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to translate business needs into technical solutions.
- Drive engineering best practices in code quality, testing, and deployment.
- Mentor junior engineers and contribute to a culture of continuous improvement.
- Participate in code reviews, design sessions, and performance tuning efforts.
- Support production systems, including participation in a 24x7 on-call rotation.
Experience Requirements:
- 10+ years of hands-on experience with Oracle SQL and PLSQL, including performance tuning, data modeling, and API development.
- Strong experience with ETL tools (e.g., Informatica) and batch job schedulers (e.g., Autosys).
- Proven ability to design scalable, resilient systems using cloud technologies (Snowflake is a MUST HAVE).
- Experience with ATDD, automated testing, and CI/CD pipelines.
- Familiarity with Java, messaging systems, and web containers.
- Experience with distributed replication technologies (e.g., Oracle GoldenGate, EDB Replication).
- Exposure to other database platforms (Postgres, Snowflake, MS SQL Server, etc.) is a plus.
- Strong Linux shell scripting and performance monitoring skills.
- Experience with Oracle RAC, Exadata, and engineered systems is highly desirable.
- Cloud certifications (AWS, Azure, Oracle OCI) are a bonus.
