Summary :
Plan, direct, and monitor preventative maintenance and repair programs to ensure a safe, reliable and cost-effective fleet of vehicles that provide maximum customer up-time.
Essential Duties :
Controls maintenance costs relating to local and outsourced repairs, tires, fuel, etc.Ensure image of lease and rental vehicles meet or exceed company standards.Direct responsibility to determine root causes for excessive vehicle problems including on-site visits to customers.Utilizes warranty and policy programs for recovery of expenses.Ensure that all maintenance data is loaded into the business system to provide an accurate basis for operating analyses. Uses maintenance data to identify repair trends and their causes in order to minimize recurrences and improve customer up-time (thereby limiting substitutions).Handles and reviews road calls and break downs.Schedules repairs within the company's service departments.Expedite lease and rental customer accident repairs with company body shop to ensure quick turnaround and cost-effective approach.Assists in developing policies and procedures that comply with company, local, state and federal requirements. Completes with required reporting and paperwork.Manages and directs the activities of the mobile wash unit. Tracks and strives for budgeted profitability.Interact in a professional manner with customers, vendors and employees. Establishes strong relationships with suppliers and customers.Provides training resources to customers, their safety personnel and drivers.Assists in the development of cost-effective vehicle specifications that provide efficient vehicle operation, lower operating costs, provide a competitive advantage and provide maximum up-time.Continuously seeks vendors that provide cost-effective supplies, parts, repairs, tires, etc.Ensure customers comply with preventative maintenance schedules.Simplify procedures and lessen administrative burden. Support the continued development and implementation of a progressive maintenance system that will lower running costs and provide maximum up-time.Serves as an integral part of the management team in assuring coordination of efforts between and among departments to provide quality service to customers and attain the company's goals.Strives for harmony and teamwork within the department and with all other departments.Establishes and maintains good working relationships with customers to encourage repeat and referral business.Keeps abreast of new equipment and tools available and recommends purchases.Handles customer complaints immediately and according to dealership's guidelines.Establishes and maintains a follow-up system to measure customer satisfaction with their rental and service experience.Attend internal company and external industry meetings and seminars.Maintains a safe work environment.Maintains a professional appearance and ensures others in the department maintain a professional appearance.Performs other duties as requested.Qualifications :
