Acetylene Plant Operator

Our client, a leading player in the industrial sector, is seeking an Acetylene Plant Operator to join their team. As an Acetylene Plant Operator, you will be part of a dedicated team supporting the safe and efficient operations of the Acetylene Plant. The ideal candidate will have strong problem-solving skills, good communication abilities, and a mechanical aptitude that will align successfully with the organization.

• Shift :
• 8am - 5pm
• What's the Job?
• Responsible for the safe start-up and shut-down of the plant at the beginning or end of the day.
• Operate and monitor plant operations, recording required information on logs at specified intervals.
• Safely fill hydrogen, Chemtane, and propane cylinders according to established procedures.
• Respond to alarms, assess problems, and initiate appropriate corrective actions.
• Perform visual inspections on cylinders and ensure proper filling and labeling procedures are followed.
• What's Needed?
• High school graduate or equivalent.
• Ability to perform basic mathematics calculations.
• Good verbal and written communication skills.
• Mechanical aptitude and previous knowledge of cylinders and gases.
• Ability to lift up to 50 lbs and stand for extended periods.
