Responsibilities
The Cardiac Catheterization Laboratory Radiologic Technologist 2 (Cath Lab Rad Tech 2) is a highly skilled member of the cardiac procedural team who assists physicians with complex interventional cardiovascular and electrophysiology procedures. This role operates fluoroscopic and ultrasound equipment, manages devices and supplies, and ensures adherence to radiation safety and quality control standards. This role also provides training and guidance to staff and students, helping maintain high standards of care and procedural excellence.
Qualifications
Education
Graduate of an ARRT approved school of Radiologic Technology requiredExperience
1 year of experience in Interventional Radiology, Cardiac Cath Lab or Surgical Services requiredAnnual demonstration of independent interventional radiologist proficiency requiredComputed Tomography (CT) or Magnetic Resonance Imaging (MR) experience preferredLicenses and Certifications
BLS - Current Basic Life Support (BLS) for Healthcare Providers by American Heart Association (AHA) requiredCRT - State of California Certified Radiologic Technologist requiredCRTFP - State of California Radiologic Tech Fluoroscopy Permit requiredARRT - American Registry Radiologic Technologists requiredPreferred
